BEMA Training Centre

The Training Centre, which has been designed to support manufacturing, has now been running since September 2014. The Centre's objectives are to take apprentices at their early stage of training and put them through a well-developed and broad programme of engineering practices over a ten month period. The skills they will develop include the operation of hand tools and extensive training on milling machines, both manual and with DRO (Digital Readout), lathes both manual and CNC and grinding, drilling facilities and heat treatment.

The programme was development with consultation with many manufacturing companies including BEMA's own membership. Many of the members that have apprentices within the training centre have seen a considerable increase in their candidate’s ability since joining the curriculum.
