Overview of Role

Full Description

We are offering the opportunity for a highly motivated person to join our engineering team and complete an apprenticeship to become an installation engineer. This is a development role, and you will be required to learn the key tasks below before being able to carry them out un-supervised.

On completion of your apprenticeship, you will be decommissioning, dismantling, assembling, moving and installing equipment and machinery across a wide range of industry sectors. Your tasks will include the ground handling of equipment & machinery using safe rigging practices; dismantling and assembling machinery using engineering principles and trouble-shooting issues and obstacles encountered.

You will enjoy a fast-paced, varied and rewarding work environment.

Training will be provided in all areas where not covered through apprenticeship workshops, the use of tools would be dependent on experience and in compliance with Health and Safety laws.


Desired Skills

Good written and oral communication skills IT literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)

Qualifications Required

4 GCSEs - Math’s, English & Science at Grade 5-9 essential. (or equivalent)


Future Prospects

We see this role naturally growing and alongside the apprenticeship we will provide the training, guidance and support needed to succeed.

As skills and knowledge develops you have the opportunity to progress within the department, subject to a role being available and all training signed off.


Duration

48 Months: First 3 months full time college attendance, followed by day release


Working Week

Mon – Fri, 0800 – 1630hrs, 1⁄2 hour unpaid lunch
