Apprenticeships

Are you interested in taking on a young person aged between 16 and 25 ?

Are you willing to allow them time away from work in order to attend college ?

Are you prepared to assist them in gaining the skills necessary to develop a full time career within the engineering industry ?

If the answer to the above questions are YES, then BEMA's apprenticeship schemes may be of interest.

BEMA will:-

  • Initially interview and test the young person
  • Cover the costs of their registration and certification
  • Develop a training plan which fits in with the employers requirements
  • Arrange a course of further education at a college local to the young person. Provided the qualification being followed is on a list of those covered by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) then the majority and in some cases all the cost  of the further education will be reimbursed by BEMA.
  • Visit the young person on a regular basis to review their progress.
  • Monitor the Health and Safety requirements to ensure the LSC standards are met.
