Carry Out Survey |
Record Information on Survey Checklist. Take measurements for Plan of building, and draw plan. If possible use the plan that was drawn by the Fire Officer when the company had a Fire Certificate if one had been issued. (Check accuracy just in case there are any alterations) |
| Stage 2 |
Risk Assessment. |
Complete computer assessment to give Risk rating working through the four steps.
Step 1 – Identify potential fire hazards in the workplace.
Step 2 – Identify people at significant risk.
Step 3 – Evaluate the risks – Can hazards be removed or reduced?
Step 4 – Adequacy of fire safety measures.
Submit the summary of Fire Risk Assessment with the report.

Proposed Actions to remove or reduce risks |
Write report of actions to be taken to reduce risks with target dates, and keep a record of actual dates on completion |
| Stage 4 |
Proposed Actions to improve fire safety measures |
Write report of actions to be taken to improve the fire safety measures that are in place |
| Stage 5 |
Submit Fire Risk Assessment to the company |
Agree Emergency Plan and who will carry out the actions that require attention from the assessment. Set review dates to monitor the Fire Risk Assessment. |
