| Waterjet |
In 2006 Westcut introduced a new waterjet cutting service in the South West with the latest waterjet cutting technology using a Bystronic twin headed water/abrasive cutting machine that can cut components up to approximately 3m x 1.5m x 200mm. A CNC controlled drill spindle allows cutting laminates and other composite materials. Hard materials such as aluminium, titanium, stainless steel, ceramics, laminates and kevlars are cut by introducing garnet sand, a sharp mineral into the water stream. This allows waterjet profiling of almonst any material without heat stressing or deforming the material. Contact Neil Saunders www.westcutwaterjet.co.uk |
