Thomson aero Ltd is a medium sized Aerospace Engineering Company operating in Frome, Somerset. The business manufactures a range of components for the aerospace and defence sectors.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will follow CNC programs to effectively produce parts. You will be able to understand drawings and follow written procedures, identifying and communicating any potential issues or non conformance.

You will have a strong engineering background, experienced in CNC operations. You will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, preventing issues and suggesting improvements. You will have a thorough approach, complying with internal processes and systems requirements.

Experience of fanuc and/or heidenhain control panels would be an advantage as would working to tight tolerances and/or with exotic hard materials. Benefits include 25 days holiday per annum, bonus scheme, Health Care Cash Plan (after 6 months) and free parking.

£10.92 per hour + £2.46 per hour (shift allowance) Rotating Shifts: Mon-Fri: 0600-1400/1400-2200

There is a 3 month probationary period which will include an introductory starting rate throughout this period.  This is at 90% of the rate attached to the role.
