Dinner and Dance

This event is an ideal opportunity for the membership to get together along with their families. An evening of food, drink and dancing that has established itself as the annual party for BEMA. Every year the president of BEMA has a chosen charty that is supported on the evening with many great prizes to be won.

Dinner and Dance 2008

This years BEMA Dinner and Dance was held at the newly refurbished Redwood Lodge in Failand, Bristol on the 28th of November and raised for our president, Shaun Coggins sponsored charity “Children’s Hospice South West” an incredible £2183.00 for which BEMA would like to thank all those involved on the night.

Alexa Garner from the charity gave an introduction to the work the charity carries out and I think most of those gathered on the night realised that this was a charity that was worth supporting, this was certainly reflected in the generous donations for the raffle and for the “Holiday” auction.

A very big “thank you” must go to those that donated prizes for the raffle and the “Holiday” auction which included Anstee and Ware, Avon Ski & Action Centre, Avon Vale Training, Avon Valley Precision Engineering, BEMA staff, Bristol Metal Spraying, Burroughs Day Solicitors, City Engineering, Club Hotel Edelweiss, Llewellins Machine Co. Ltd., Lyncombe Lodge, McBraida, John Moore & Sons, Peak Staff Recruitment, Precision Profiles, Ravenscourt Engineering Ltd. Redwood Hotel, Richard Hoare Plant, Swift Express Maintenance and West of England Group.

The entertainment for the evening was an eighteen piece swing band that went by the name of Boulevard Swing and a seventies/eighties style disco, which were both very entertaining.

BEMA’s president Shaun Coggins of K M Engineering Ltd. presented the prizes for the raffle and for those of you that are interested there is a list of prize winners available on request.
